Drain Cleaner: Never purchase toxic cleaners again

Today I tried a homemade drain cleaner and it worked like a charm.  Why spend your hard earned dollars on harsh chemical drain cleaners when 3 staples from your kitchen work just as well if not better.

I (well my husband) first removed the bathroom stopper and cleaned off the black gooky mess with a bit of hair (YUK). I then measured the baking soda and vinegar and added them to the drain.  Then I brought my hot tea kettle to the bathroom sink and began pouring the hot water, a bit at a time. You can't go wrong and add too much water. It was a bit grose, as black bits floated up into the sink but as I kept adding water it quickly began to drain. A 5 minute fix for free.

To your clogged drain add in the order given:
1/3 C. baking soda
1/3 C. distilled white vinegar
2 C. boiling water

First add the baking soda, then the vinegar, then begin pouring in the hot water a little at a time.  Pour, wait, watch it bubble up then pour more water.  Keep adding water till it flows freely which may end up being more than 2 cups.
