Tip of the Day: Weekday prep

When I purchase a pound of lunchmeat I find it to be a bit of a pain to grab a slice. Now what I do is roll each slice and place it into a air tight Lock and Lock storage container. It makes it easy to grab a slice on the run and you don't have a lot of fingers touching meat they won't be eating. You can easily grab one slice without touching any other slices.

I love Lock & Lock. I purchased mine at QVC but you can get them anywhere. There are also other brands that are similar which are probably just as good. I also use Kinetic Glasslock storage containers. I wanted to move away from plastic as much as possible and I hate when my plastic gets stained or smelly. The glass containers avoid this problem. I got these containers at Costco and TJ Maxx.

I also prep baby bell peppers for the upcoming week.  I clean (removing the seeds and ribs), slice them lengthwise and store them in a Lock & Lock plastic container.  They can then easily be added to salads, stir fry's or other recipies.
