All Clad Grill Pan

I opted for the All Clad Grill Pan instead of purchasing a panini press at this time.  I always want to purchase the latest gadget but my kitchen space is limited and in the end these gadgets usually just take up space.  They are great for awhile but then I quit using them.  I do have a panini press in mind that I want after doing my research (see below) but I am trying to stay away from it because what I've learned from this pan is I go through phases of making grilled sandwiches and this pan is a lot easier to store and it is just more practical.

Currently for a press I use my hands or another heavy pan but you can also use a brick wrapped in foil.  What I would like to do is purchase a press, probably the one from Le Creuset.

The All Clad Grill pan is so great I even purchased one as a gift for my sister in law.  They run about $50.

In case a Panini press is what you want then the Cuisinart Griddler GR-4N is the one to get.  You can get it at many places like Chefs Catalog, Item# 25647 for $99.  The reason I like this one so much is that it has reversible grills (a flat set and a grill set).  It also opens totally flat to use it as a grill, or you can shut it and use it as a panini press.
