Weekly Catalog Finds and something for my 2010 Christmas list

I love my catalogs and here are this weeks finds.

Wreath:  What about a new Christmas wreath for your front door with a little jingle.  I like this one from Williams Sonoma.  Item# 27-2960136 for $49.95.

Cat Toy:  Do you have a  cat you love and want to purchase a present for.  I like this laser image chase toy from Hammacher Schlemmer, Item# GT-79328 for $29.95
Cranberry Mold:  Last year I almost purchased this but didn't because it's one of those things that will get used once a year.  But now that I see it again this year I still want it and it was improved from last year which is a bonus (plug installed for easy removal).  This is from Williams Sonoma and you can get it in the store if you have one locally to avoid the shipping.  Item# 2641215 for $19.95.  I purchased it prior to Thanksgiving and wouldn't you know I didn't make cranberry.  Hopefully I'll use it by Christmas.  The only thing I realized after I purchaed it which was disappointing is that it is made in China.  The more I look for made in the USA the more I realize how little we make.  It's sad.
Coffee Table Book:  A coffee table book is always a good gift for someone you don't know what to get or for that person who has everything.  The Illustrated History of America seems like a great choice.  Especially for me since I love a picture book.  This is from Hammacher Schlemmer, Item# GT-79497 for $29.95

Dish Cloths:  Is this my paper towel replacement?  As I continue to be more green this caught my eye however I'm not totally convinced.  This says it is part sponge, part chamois, super absorbent, durable and machine washable.  They are from Swedish dishcloths and the outperform sponges, paper towels and ordinary cloths.  They are from Solutions, Item# 87014 for $12.95/2 or buy more and save more 2 sets or more for $11.95.

Blind Duster:  What about this microfiber blind duster.  Now that I have shutters throughout my house this may work for these also.  I think I will see what I can find in stores first but this is an option I will keep my eye out for.  From Solutions, Item# 84963 for $8.95

Drying Mat:  This is something I am definitely going to purchase.  I'm not the dish washer in my house but when I do wash them I always lay paper towels on the counter to soak up the water before I dry the clean dishes that I hand wash.  I have seen other mats but they haven't been as pretty/colorful as this one.  I'm buying the green on.  Best of all it's made in the USA.  I'm buying the green.  It also comes in blue, straw/yellow and holly design.  From Solutions, Item# 87013 for $12.95.

For Thanksgiving my aunt gave me a drying mat from Bed Bath and Beyond.  It really soaks up the water and so far so good.  It is baige with brown trim so not as preaty as this one but it was only $4.95 so it's a better option to try it out incase you don't care for it.  And don't forget your BBB coupon, they always come in the mail or in the Sunday paper and they never expire so hang onto them and get at least 15% off.

Key Hook:  I have purchased one of these as a gift for a friend and she uses it which means it was a good gift.  Hers has a dog on it, I got it at a local gift shop.  You can find these in many places but if you haven't seen them you can order it from Solutions, Item# 87063 for $12.95.  I just thought of two more people I can purchase one of these for.  They are always searching for their keys.

Purse Hook:  Do you ever think about where you sit your purse, on the bathroom floor, on your kitchen counter, on the floor of a restaurant?  Now think about the germs that you are picking up and taking home with you.  These purse hooks fit easily in your purse because they are compact and allows you to hang your purse from a restaurant table.  Some of these hooks don't fold up like these do so this one is the best.  You can find them in various places but they are available from Solutions, Item# 83138 for $14.95.  Also available at FreshFinds, Item# Q3916 for $14.95 with your initial.

Digital Note Taker:  This is something that will be on my Christmas list this year.  I'm always making lists, taking notes or doodling and this might reduce the number of times I rewrite something.  Since I also draw things in Illustrator sometimes I will draw it free hand, scan it and then trace it in Illustrator.  Maybe I'll be able to pull this directly into Illustrator and with a lot of luck it will actually create the drawing, but if not at least I skip the scanning part.  The Digital Note Taker is from Sharper Image, Item# 101018 for $129.99
