Favorite Kitchen Tools

I love kitchen gadgets and here are my favorites so far.  I own all of these, some I use more than others but I find that the one's I don't use often I don't mind storing them.  We put a cabinet in the garage and I store my extra kitchen gadgets there.  The one's I use most often are either in my kitchen or in the hall linen closet which I converted to a kitchen storage cabinet.  Who needs ton's of extra linens and the guest towels are in a cabinet in the guest bathroom.

Tortilla Bowl Bakers: I don't use these weekly but they are nice to have to make a healthier taco salad bowl. You can purchased processed one's at the store but it's better to start with fresh tortillas and it's not a lot of work to make. Just place the tortilla in the metal bowl and bake. EASY. I got them at a store so keep your eyes out but if you can't find them you can order them at Chef's Catalog, Item # 25773 for $14.95.

Lemon Juicer: Chef's Catalog, Item# 24668, $14.95. You can get these almost anywhere, just get a metal one. I purchased the lemon one because it's larger. I use it for limes also.

KitchenAid Immersion Blender: This is a great tool. You can blend right in the soup pot so you don't need to transfer hot liquids to your blender. It comes with a mini food processor which is great for making things like hummus. I use this tool a lot and it small for easy storage. It's available everywhere and on sale at Chefs Catalog, Item# 98456 for $99.00

KitchenAid Food Processor:  KitchenAid in general has great products. I also own their 12 cup food processor. Another one of my kitchen must haves that is available everywhere. At Chefs Catalog, Item# 13149 for $199.95.

Pastry Blender by Amco, 2-in-1 Amco With Pie Crimper.  Some pastry blenders have wire blades.  This  model has stiff metal slicers.  I love this for making egg salad sandwiches.  Mine was from Pampered Chef but I see that they have changed it and I like the one I have just fine.  Why do people make changes to a good thing.  Change is good but when it works it works. The  one pictured below has an improvement to a good thing, it also crimps the edge of a pie.  Great change.  The model similar to mine, but better, can be found at Chefs Catalog, Item# 26000 for $12.95

Round French Oven:  Le Crueset, 7 1/4 qt. pot for soup's, stews, chili's, roasts,etc..  It's large but not too large.  I have the red but my new favorite color is the Cassis (purple)
All these products have stood the test of time.  They are not new purchases and they continue to be things I couldn't do without.
