- Once you look on line you should always call the airline or hotel directly and see if you can get a better deal. Not all deals are put up on the web and the web doesn't always have the best price.
- Book your flight 3 1/2 months in advance, no further, no later. Airlines post their fairs 11 months in advance at the highest price and as seats don't sell the price goes down.
- Download your boarding pass to your smart phone. You no longer will need to carry a paper pass.
- Stay hydrated, drink bottled water vs alcohol.
- To avoid germs: Carry an alcohol based hand sanitizer and anti bacterial wipes. Wipe down all surfaces. Don't dig around in the seat pocket or put your things in there. You don't know what was there before (Kleenex, diaper, etc.)
- Wear loose fitting clothes made of cotton or other natural fibers, comfortable shoes preferable slip ons for easy passage through security and layers. If you are wearing layers you can remove some if you get too hot and add some back if you get too cold. If you don't have layers you could be in trouble.
