This Weeks Catalog Finds

This weeks catalog finds are all from The Artisan Table, Cooking Enthusiast.  It is a new catalog I've begun to receive so I haven't ordered from them yet but they do have a lot of unique cooking items, so here is what I found.

Pizza Stone:  I liked this because it can be used on the BBQ grill and it is glazed.  I have a stone but I don't know if I can put it over an open flame.  Since this one is is glazed it can be used from oven to table, washed with soap and water or even in the dishwasher.  It is made in France by Emile Henry, Item# 1H57-020 for $49.95.  If you want more of a gift you can make a pizza gift pack by adding in the Pizza on the Grill cookbook, a Pizza cutter and a bottle of olive oil from this catalog or any store.

Do you bake a lot of pies, do you have a Pie Bird?  This one is really cute.  Granted a slit in the pie does the same thing but if you are a baker or know one this is just too cute.  Item# 1H32-130 for $38.95 and what about including a Pie cookbook, The Complete Book of Pies for $24.95 Item# 1H32-110

Do you love tapas and like to entertain.  The hottest thing now is serving appetizers in single servings in spoons, like Chinese soup spoons.  Here is a set that comes on a glass serving tray.  Item# 1H22-090 for $34.95.  If you are looking for more than 8 and don't need a try check out Cost Plus for individual spoons, just make sure they stand up, that the handle doesn't make them top heavy because if your appetizer isn't heavy they won't stand up.  Here again you can include a tapas cookbook.

A Tagine has been on my list for awhile now.  I just keep thinking will I use it enough to justify the space it will take up in my kitchen.  I have also been looking for one that is unique, a nice color or pattern.  This one is a cool lime green so although not totally exciting I do like the color.  Item# 1H18-040 for $69.95

This hanging copper bowl reminds me of back in the day when I had that cheap wire three tier basket for fruits and veggies that hung in my kitchen.  This one is more upscale, pricier but brings that idea up to date and for me would get the veggies/fruit off the counter where I really need the room.  Problem is for me the price.  I wouldn't spend that on myself but I would love it as a gift.  Item# 1H18-090 for $129.95
