Buffalo Wing Pretzel Sticks

I tried a new recipe this morning and although they are not better than my Spicy Ranch Pretzels they are a winning snack.  Since I used 2 t. of cayenne, they are probably too spicy for some so if you don't like it hot, reduce the cayenne to 1 t. so it is only a slight kick.

UPDATE = 3/7/2013:  I updated the recipe to change it from the pretzel sticks to Rold Gold classic tiny twists pretzels.  Some sticks stuck together causing them to be a bit soft/stale like.  Some were not as crunchy as I would have liked.  I'll also bake them on two sheets so there is more room to spread them out when they bake.

This is a great beer snack. Original recipe came from the Something Xtra magazine from Nob Hill, Winter 2013, pg. 37.

BUFFALO WING PRETZEL STICKS
1 cube butter (½ C.)
½ C. Frank’s Red Hot Buffalo Wing sauce
2 T. Worcestershire sauce
2 t. onion powder
2 t. garlic powder
2 t. seasoned salt
2 t. cayenne pepper

1 lb. Rold Gold classic tiny twists pretzels

Preheat oven to 300°F. Add all ingredients to a medium pan, melt butter and cook 5 minutes. Pour sauce over pretzels in a large bowl. Toss. Place on two foil lined cookie sheet and bake for 30 minutes. Stirring every 10 minutes. Serve alone or with blue cheese sauce for dipping.
