Mexican Goulash, a good fall football potluck dish for $10

I made this for the first time in over 15 years.  I got the recipe from a coworker,  I must have tried it at a work potluck so of course I got the recipe.  Since it is now in my cookbook I decided to give it a try to see if it is still something I would like.  The dish is easy to put together, a lot of the ingredients you may find in your pantry and if you catch a sale this dish can be made for about $10.  It is not a spicy dish so if I make it again I may kick it up a notch.

MEXICAN GOULASH
1 lb. ground turkey or hamburger
1 pkg. taco seasoning mix or 3 t. homemade
1 can cream corn
15 oz. can tomato sauce
4 oz. cream cheese
4 green onions or ¼ onion, sliced
4 oz. olives, sliced
1 box Rice a Roni, Spanish rice
1 T. butter
2 C. water
1 C. cheddar cheese or chedderella (cheddar and mozzarella)

Preheat oven to 400F. Cook ground meat and drain grease. Add taco seasoning mix, stir and cook 1 minutes. Slice onions and olives. Add cream corn, olives, green onions tomato sauce and cream cheese. Stir and cook on a medium heat to melt cheese. Put hamburger mixture in bottom of a 9x13 inch pan. In same pan, whip out, add butter, melt, add rice mix and brown. Add seasoning package and water. Bring to a boil, cover and cook 10 minutes (½ time indicated on box directions). Rice will still be wet but pour over top of hamburger mixture in 9x13. Bake 25 minutes. During last 5 minutes of baking top with grated cheddar cheese.
