Practical Items to Solve Various Problems

Here are some items I found that I believe would be useful.

Chair Cover:  My dining room chairs are cream fabric and I would hate to see someone spill something on them even though a chair is to sit in.  Here are some covers that would look nice and do the job.  I purchased some plastic covers but they are like plastic mattress cover, a little embarrassing and it is obvious you don't trust your guests.  These can look like they are part of your decor.  From Improvements Catalog, I like the swirls and the strips but since the swirls will fit in better with my chairs I will get these.  Item# 377968 for the swirls, #377959 for the strips, 2 for $14.99.  They come in cream, burgundy, gold and deep rose.  I'll get the cream if I want to match the chairs or the burgundy if I want it to fit into the decor.  They also have a full chair cover but I don't think covering the back is necessary.  They are on sale now for $10.95

Dryer Lint Cleaner:  We all should be cleaning our dryer vents every time we use the dryer.  But even then you get lint that falls out of the basket and down into the dryer.  This is dangerous and can start a fire.  This tool can help you get it out.  From Solutions, Item# 82406 for $9.95

Hose Mount:  If you have ever had to remove your dryer hose and you have one like I do you will realize how hard it is to put back on.  It has a metal clip that you push together the ends to make the circle clip bigger in order for it to fit around or be removed from the pipe.  This is an easy clip on dryer mount hose from Whatever Works.  Item# K71-44 for $12.99.

Micro Fiber Cloths:  From what I hear microfiber cloths are a great way to clean.  I haven't tried them yet but it is on my list of things to purchase.  If you have used them and love them here is an assortment at Solutions Catalog, Item# 64356, 6 for $19.00.

Rechargeable Tea Candles:  If you don't use soy candles, beautiful candle holders become black with soot after a few burnings.  I have yet to find a way to get off this black soot.  Instead on some of my favorite holders I am thinking about these.  They are green because they are rechargeable and because they don't put off toxic chemicals.  From Improvements Catalog, Item# 337309, 12 for $39.99.
Motion Socket:  Want a motion detector but don't want to replace your light fixture.  If this fits this may be a cheaper way to go.  From Improvements Catalog, Item# 387204, $39.99

Gutter Pump:  If you don't have gutter guards on your gutters, try this drain spout guard.  The gutters in our house have had downspout problems.  I'm thinking this may solve my problem if I don't end up getting gutter guards.  From Improvements Catalog, Item# 156922, 2 for $14.99

You may not realize that you need this but it would sure solve one of my problems.  Does your outdoor umbrella wobble in it's hole, causing your umbrella to tilt?  This small gadget will solve that problem.  It is a hole/wedge that your umbrella goes into and it has various sizes to fit perfectly into the hole depending on it's size.  Unfortunately it is currently not available.  This is why one shouldn't procrastinate.  I want this and will keep my eye out for it to come back.  It is from Solutions catalog, Item# 86741
