Berkeley Kite Festival
Cesar E. Chavez Park at Berkeley Marina
We went last year because I thought it would be a great picture opportunity. We parked by Scates, had a drink and an appetizer, then took the shuttle over to the kite fair. Because of the long lines for the shuttle getting back we walked but if you do make sure you have comfortable shoes. Some people brought picnic supplies and spend the day, others brought their own kites to fly in the wind. The park can be pretty windy so wear layers just in case. There are a few vendors like churros or corn dogs so if you hungry or thirsty there is something there for you. They also have kite competitions if this is your thing. We didn't stay long, walked the park, took a bunch of pictures, saw a few of the competitions and then we were off on our next adventure
