If you are still one of those people who think ground turkey is white once cooked and don't think your family or you would eat it because of that it is just not true. The texture is softer, not as dense as a burger can be but with the onion soup mix in the burger mix and the gravy on top this is a yummy quick dish.
I did however realize today that I'm over canned corn as a stand along dish. Even after adding butter, salt and pepper it was still bland. I will continue to keep a couple of cans on hand to add to casseroles or my bean salad but eating it as a stand alone vegetable, how I did as a child is out. After eating corn off the cob during its season the sweetness and flavor of fresh vs. canned is like night and day. Since corn isn't the best vegetable for you anyways going forward I'll load up on it in the summer and avoid it during the other seasons. Eating seasonally is the best way to plan your menus and it saves you money.
