FoodieAGoGo & Me: That Time Again at the Alameda County Fair: horse races, concerts and corn dogs

What more can I ask for at the Alameda County Fair, oh yea Pig Races, don't forget those. The fair starts June 19-July 7th. Since fireworks have become scarce in the bay area if you have never ventured to the fair to watch the fireworks I highly recommend it. The best place I've ever seen fireworks was in Boston. Last year when we saw the fireworks at the fair I was totally impressed. It is a smaller venue so it felt like the fireworks going off over my head were going to get me, making me flinch a bit but loving every bit of it. They felt so close, it was simply amazing and it is now a tradition to hit a few horse races to see if we can win big, eat a corn dog, try a new fair food or another old favorite like a turkey leg and catch one of the free concerts.
