Food: Discovering heirloom beans

We all know about canned beans and dry beans in the grocery store.  I recently found out about heirloom beans.  I never knew there was such a thing and I can't wait to give them a try.  You can order them online at Ranch Gordo.  They claim they taste like nothing you have tried from the grocery store.  If you don't know what to do with them check out "Sando's new cookbook, Heirloom Beans.

I'll try a couple of these to start:  Runner Cannellini Beans said to be their most popular, Ojo de Cabra Bean (Goats Eye), Jacob's Cattle bean for baked beans (oldest and most popular heirloom), the Black Calypso (pictured below) which tastes like a potato.
